Privacy Policy
Version 1.8 Β· Effective Oct. 1, 2026
1. Who we are
Yee is an on-demand media platform operated by Yee Solutions Ltd.. It connects customers who order photos and videos at a place with nearby creators who capture them. This policy covers the YeePro (customer) and YeeGo (creator) mobile apps, the Yee web app, and this website. For any privacy question, write to gytis@goyee.app.
2. Data we collect
- Account data. You sign in with Google. We receive your name and email address from your Google account. We never receive your Google password or your Google profile picture. A profile photo and a phone number are optional, and only you give them to us.
- Payout account (creators). Payouts run through a Stripe Connect account. Stripe holds your bank details and identity documents. We keep only the Stripe account identifier and read its status (payouts enabled, identity checked) from Stripe.
- Location data. Customers choose a place for an order. Creators share their device position while using the app, so nearby orders can be shown, and the capture position is recorded when a photo or video is taken, to confirm it was captured at the ordered place. A creator's position is sent about once a minute while the app is open. It is used only to tell the creator about nearby orders, and it is never shown to customers or to other creators.
- Media and its metadata. Photos and videos captured by creators, together with technical metadata (for example capture time, camera information and a fingerprint of the file) used to check authenticity.
- Payment data. Payments are processed by Stripe. We store order amounts and payment status. We never see or store full card numbers. When you save a card, Stripe keeps the card itself and sends us only the card brand, the last four digits and the expiry month and year, so the app can show you which card is in use.
- Device and technical data. A push notification token for your device, the IP address your requests come from, and basic technical data (app version, device model, operating system) written to our server logs and to error reports. When a creator captures a photo or video, we also record the result of a device integrity check (Google Play Integrity) and the device model.
- Agreement records. Which version of our terms and of this policy you accepted, and when.
- Download records. Each time you download a file you bought, we record which file, when, the IP address the request came from, and the browser or device line it carried. We keep these records so we can prove the file was delivered if a payment is later disputed at a bank.
- Ratings and comments. The rating and the short comment you give the other side after an order, and the ones they give you.
- Order messages and support conversations. Messages you send in an order's message thread (up to 1000 characters each), and anything you send through in-app support or a feedback form.
- Reports and blocks. A report you make (what you reported, the reason and your text) or one made about you, the decision on it, and the people you blocked.
- Refused uploads. When an upload is refused by our authenticity checks, we record the capture position, the device model, a fingerprint of the file and the reason. The file itself is not kept.
- Waiting list. If an app is full when you first sign in, we keep your email address and which app you tried, so we can invite you later.
3. How we use the data
- To run the service: show orders on the map, match customers with nearby creators, deliver media, and process payments.
- To keep the platform safe: check that media is authentic and was captured at the ordered place, and check every upload automatically against our content rules.
- To send notifications about your orders and your account.
- To answer support requests and fix errors in the apps.
- To prove that you agreed to our terms and to this policy.
- To meet legal duties, such as accounting and tax rules, and to answer lawful requests from the authorities.
We do not sell your personal data and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
4. Who we share data with
We share data only with service providers that help us run Yee, and only what each one needs:
- Stripe β payments, creator payouts and the creator identity check.
- Google (Firebase) β sign-in and push notifications.
- Cloud hosting providers β servers and file storage for the platform.
- Amazon Web Services (Rekognition) and Anthropic (Claude) β automated checks of a reduced copy of each uploaded photo or video frame.
- Google β maps in the Android apps, and Play Integrity device checks.
- CARTO β map images in the web app.
- SendGrid β sending our emails.
- Intercom β in-app support chat (your email address and account identifier).
- Sentry β error reports (may include your IP address and account identifier).
Inside the platform, customers and creators see each other's public profile: name, picture, average rating, number of ratings, and the comments other users left. A creator opens a customer's profile from that customer's order; a customer opens a creator's profile from a set delivered to them. This works the same way in both directions. A creator also sees a customer's buying badge: how many of that customer's finished orders ended with a purchase, or a mark that says the customer is new while there is not enough history yet. When a customer buys nothing from an order, the creators who delivered to that order see the reason the customer chose. None of it is public on the internet.
5. How long we keep data
| Data | Kept for |
|---|---|
| Account data (name, email, profile photo, phone number) | Until you delete your account, then up to 90 days in our backups |
| After the deletion: your email address, name and payment-provider identifiers | After your last account is deleted, we keep your email address, your name and your payment-provider identifiers for 12 months in a restricted change history that only a platform administrator can read. We keep them so we can answer a card dispute or a lawful request from an authority that arrives after the deletion (GDPR Article 17(3)(b) and (e)). After 12 months they are deleted for good. |
| Payout account and identity documents | Held by Stripe. We keep only the Stripe account identifier. |
| Media files, playback copies, poster images and previews | The period shown in the app, counted from the purchase, from the order closing, or from the item leaving the market. Then every file is deleted. |
| Media record: fingerprint, authenticity record, order history | Kept. It contains no picture. |
| Order and payment records | 10 years after the order closes, as accounting law requires |
| Server logs, IP address, device data | 30 days |
| Download records (which file, when, IP address, device line) | Kept with the payment records, because a payment can be disputed at a bank long after it was made |
| Ratings and comments | Kept with the purchase record. After you delete your account, they are shown as written by a deleted user. |
| Order messages | Kept with the order record |
| Reports and blocks | Kept. They point at the account record, which stays. |
| Refused uploads (capture position, device model, file fingerprint) | Kept as evidence |
| Waiting list (email address, app) | Until you ask us to remove it |
| Agreement records (which version you accepted, and when) | As long as your account exists, and afterwards for as long as we may need to prove the agreement |
| Evidence of suspected illegal content | As long as the law requires, even after the account is closed |
When a media file is deleted, everything that shows the place goes with it: the original, the playback copy, the poster image and the painted preview. What stays is the record of the order and the authenticity data, which hold no picture.
Where a complaint or a legal case about your account is open, the deletion is paused until the case is closed.
6. Evidence and the authorities
Where we have reason to believe that content or conduct breaks the law, we may keep a copy of the content, of the account data and of the technical records connected with it for as long as the law requires, even after the account is closed. We give this material to the police or to another authority when the law requires it or in answer to a lawful request. Where the law requires a report to be made, we make it without telling the account holder first.
7. Your rights
You can ask us to show, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, to limit how we use it, or to give you a copy of it. To use any of these rights, or to delete your account, write to gytis@goyee.app. If you are in the European Union, you may also complain to your national data protection authority.
Some data cannot be deleted on request: accounting records we must keep by law, and evidence we must keep for a legal reason.
8. Deleting your account
You can delete your customer account in the YeePro app and your creator account in the YeeGo app, under Settings, or by writing to us. The account is deactivated at once and deleted for good 30 days later; a creator's account waits until money on the way to them has arrived. The account deletion page lists exactly what is deleted and what is kept.
9. Children
You must be at least 16 years old to use YeePro, and at least 18 to work as a creator on YeeGo. Yee is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
10. Changes to this policy
When we change this policy we publish a new version on this page, with a new version number and date, and the app asks you to accept it. If you do not answer within 7 days, you are treated as having accepted the new version.
